The Purposes of the Church: II. Fellowship - Part 2

Acts 2:41-47, 1 Thess. 4:18, 5:11, 14-15, Romans 14:19, Eph. 4:29, Hebrews 3:12-13, 10:24-25 In this sermon, we continue to discuss the second "pillar" of the activities of the church, mutually edifying fellowship. We see the wonderful blessing and help that true spiritual fellowship, giving and receiving, sharing together in the things of God, can be for our lives. Believers are to promote the spiritual good of the souls of their brothers and sisters in Christ. Here, we also talk about the wonderful things of God that believers share and can speak together about, how uplifting, edifying, encouraging, and sanctifying it is for believers to talk together about the glorious, heavenly things of God. We also discuss the biblical duty of having a watch care over one another's souls, including the occasional need for kind correction, admonition, warning, or rebuke.
