Lee Weckerly

My mother was the driving force in my coming to know the Lord. I was 18 years of age when I was saved. Most of my teaching and evangelism occurred through the Heckathorn United Methodist Church.

In 1988 I was going through some troubled times and needed to find a new church. I came to Cornerstone thinking I would only visit a few times and ended up staying here because there was more Christian teaching here than the church I had come from.

I have only one child, my daughter, Dee. She has three children. My granddaughter Kiaira is the oldest, then Braden and then Gavin.

I have been an elder at Cornerstone Bible Church since 2012.

What We Know About Lee:

He loves the Lord, the Lord loves him, he’s a hard worker, he loves children, he dotes on his grandchildren, he can be found spending many hours in service here at the church, he has a great but dry sense of humor (if you know any of the Weckerly clan you will understand why), he loves his daughter and his grandchildren very much, he loves God’s great creation where he enjoys wilderness survival and hiking and can be found outside whenever he is not in service here at Cornerstone. Lee  retired in 2017 from Conair where he worked as a customized equipment coordinator, he shoots guns and likes fine rifles.

Rob Lazar

I came to know the Lord through the influence and testimony of my wife. We attended Cornerstone Bible Church because we knew Tim Tygert preached here and we wanted to hear him preach. After we heard him, we decided this is where we needed to be. I attend Cornerstone with my wife Bobbi, my daughter Katie and her husband Andrew, and my daughter Carly and her husband Saxon.

What We Know About Rob:

Rob has been serving as an Elder since 2013. He loves the Word of God, and works hard to know and understand it. He is active in ministry sharing God’s Word, and he can often be seen leading a Bible study, Sunday School class, and/or the Men’s Breakfast every month. He also leads the Biblical science lessons for our vacation bible school every year. Rob is an electrical engineer by vocation, and his hobbies are walking his sweet, little 4-legged girls who are Havanese and go by the names of Cookie and Brownie.
